Korean Dramas

Recently, I've started on this K-drama spree where I have been watching dramas all day xD For those who are bored like me, here are some suggestions for good dramas that I have watched:

Pink Lipstick 분홍 립스틱
allkoreandrma.com
The typical storyline of classic old revenge. These kind of dramas never fail to interest me though, with the storyline of how the good guy always gets ditched until the lady gets her revenge and comes back for him.

Shining Inheritance / Brilliant Legacy 찬란한 유산
http://1.bp.blogspot.com

The basic love story with a good storyline, in my opinion. Although it had that "usual" korean drama ending, this drama was pretty good, being the first one I ever watched, and was the drama that got me into Kpop. *Spoiler* Typical drama, though, with people getting cancer and the bad guy always getting the girl while the good guy is being friendzoned. No high expectations for this drama though, although it was a sweet love story IMO. *Spoiler end*

49 Days 49일
belectricground.com
Definitely hands down one of the best K-dramas I had ever watched. The storyline is totally different from the usual, and from start to end, it never failed to amaze me. Their way of showing us scenes is also different, presenting similar scenes from different perspective at different points in time, showing us what really happened then, changing the scenarios again and again. Needless to say, I was addicted to this drama and had to watch it all day before I could finally have a good rest :D

City Hunter 시티헌터
digitalcontainer.blogspot
Another nice drama with a good storyline. I'm such a sucker for good dramas :D Give me a good storyline and I won't even bother about the logic, like the 10 year old mp3 player that amazingly still has battery even after being kept for ages (anyone remember that?). I felt that the ending was a bit rushed though, and even after watching the drama twice, I also felt that the ending was also lacklustre. *Heartbroken* T.T give me more scenes with Lee Minho and Park Min Young please! Their on-screen chemistry was amazing, and I would have loved to see more from them! Overall, this drama definitely did not fail to disappoint though, with the cast's good acting and the moments that kept me at the edge of my seat.

My Girlfriend is a Gumiho 내 여자친구는 구미호
k2nblog.com
A lighthearted drama suitable for all(?) After watching Brilliant Legacy I was a total fangirl of Lee Seung Gi >< This is a nice drama with another weird storyline, of course, (as expected of me) Shin Min Ah is really pretty ^^ Overall, I wouldn't give this drama a rating on the ending, plot twists, etc., cause it is supposed to be a lighthearted romance drama, although I have to admit, the ending was pretty good xD

Bonus
Jackal is Coming 자칼이 온다
http://www.impawards.com/
Kyaaaa~~ Ji Hyo!!! :D Yes, I know this isn't a drama, but this is definitely undoubtedly the BEST movie I have ever watched. I...I...I can't even... My favourite Running Man member in a movie? With an awesome plot? And a bombastic ending? Boomshakalaka! You've got the perfect concoction for the best movie of the century. Words can't even describe how hilarious, amazing or shocking this movie is. It can make you laugh at one moment and make you go O.O at the other. You'll just have to watch to experience it yourselves.

Hope you enjoyed my short recommendation and are able to watch them (especially Jackal is coming!) 안녕! ~

WGM ♥

Ahhhh sorry for not updating for sooo long ><

So much happened recently, and I was so busy with my own personal stuff that I didn't have time to update this blog... T.T

Anyways, today I will be talking about this Korean variety show called We Got Married. In case any of you were wondering, yes, I am addicted to watching Korean variety shows such that I even learnt how to understand Korean through them T.T

We Got Married is basically about Korean celebrities coming together to form "couples".. on-screen couples, actually, and they get to do stuff they rarely are able to do ---- date. Yup, seeing from how they rarely ever get breaks except for national holidays like Chuseok - their Korean Thanksgiving Day, and other BIG holidays where everyone doesn't go to work, its probably hard to maintain a relationship with schedules everyday.... So this is where WGM comes in woohoooo!

So, let me talk about some of my favourite couples:

  • YongSeo couple (aka Goguma couple)
Tadaa! Their wedding photoshoot
They are so cute together oh my gawd >< Seohyun is so innocent about dating and Yonghwa being so nice to her.... Kyaaa~ Their on-screen chemistry is just too cute to handle!

They are personally one of my favourites among my favourites (if that makes sense xD) They... they... just are like a match made in heaven... I... I cant even....

  • Khuntoria couple

A handsome guy with a pretty girl... Ahhh what else can I say? SO disappointed that they ended so fast... T.T They were one of the most realistic couples on-set and they look so cute together! Bet a lot of fangirls were jealous when Nichkhun came to WGM... muahahahaha.....

However, I can easily say that they are definitely the Visual couple in WGM... I mean, you can't get any better than this right? ㅋㅋㅋ... Maybe Lee Joon.... but that would just make me totally biased cause I am a total A+... :3

Ahh... its getting late, so I'll just end off this post with a picture of MBLAQ while spazzing about them.. WOHOOOO~

G.O

Mir

Thunder

Lee Joon

And of course, my bias: Seungho
 Woots!~

Ahhhhh *total fangirl mode*

Okay... going off to watch more K-variety now... as well as more Simonandmartina.... Yayayayayyay!!~

Bye!

Faith in humanity restored

Wow... was reading about random Kpop articles when stumbling upon one about BigBang... during their BigShow 2011 concert, GD and TOP saved quite a few people! ^^ Apparently there was this broken railing that almost hit the fans, but TOP stayed there to make sure it didn't fall on them... :O Ahhhhhh *fangirl mode*

신 민 영@twitter
So kind.... @_@ And there was another incident about GD saving a mother and her son... He protected the boy from getting trampled on by the fans and even blocked away a trashcan from hitting him by using his body to protect the boy....

http://www.dkpopnews.net/2011/03/news-g-dragon-saves-mother-and-her-son.html

For you haters out there, not all celebrities are stuck-up and heartless or whatnot.... Some of them are kind ok! Ahhh...... faith in humanity restored.... now I shall move to Korea and live there....

Guide to Online Shopping ♥ (Part 1)

I'm sure online shopping is not unfamiliar to you guys right? Right? Only me? Meh... (Just proven my own point as my junior just told me that she "Nv buy things only see" meh...) Well, online shopping is indeed getting more and more popular (I hope) recently with it being more convenient for those lazy bums who are just to lazy to even get up and go outside to shop, or just don't have the time to. As for me, I do most of my shopping online... Argh... Yes, I am that lonely person online... Just kidding... Right? Right? Heh.

Well, seeing that online shopping is the trend nowadays, let me introduce a website which I do most of my shopping on (Note: I'm not affiliated with any of these sellers/websites... blah blah blah) Without a further a do, let me introduce GMARKET/ Qoo10

Most people may think that online shopping may be risky and what not, but Gmarket/Qoo10 (arrgh such a mouthful, I'll just refer to it as Gmarket) is pretty reliable, believe it or not, although there is a certain risk behind it. However, there are things called reviews in Gmarket that can let you know if the seller/ product is worth a try. If the seller has mainly positive feedback about delivery (how long the delivery takes/ courier service standard) and packaging quality (aka how they wrap up your stuff), he/she is probably reliable and doesn't throw your stuff in a random plastic bag and ship it to you in 1 month only for you to find out that the measly plastic bag has been torn and your stuff inside has been ripped to shreds (I doubt there is really such an example in real life. I. think... Right?  Heh.. hope not :X)

Jokes aside, my experience online has been surprisingly pleasant, and uckily I have not met any irresponsible buyers YET. Yes, but I know they are out there, lurking in the shadows... *shivers* Anyway, let me just share with you some stuff I bought online, and what to look out for each category :D Note: The pictures I'm using aren't the real products themselves.

  • Phone Accessories

www.geekalerts.com

szmaiphone.en.made-in-china.com (SHO PRETTY)

Phone Accessories are pretty "safe" to buy as they are smaller in size and easier to deliver, so there is not much to worry about as it will arrive safely in your mailbox :) Just make sure that the seller has a good record, and that the other buyers were not constantly complaining about any defects on the products. Just follow these rules and you are pretty much good to go! :)

  • Consumable Products
zenkimchi.com

snacks-most-delicious.tumblr.com

This is the section you will have to watch out for! Consumables are probably the most dangerous items to buy online as you never know what you will be eating or what to expect if your seller does not write any specific details of the product.
  1. Always look for the expiry date. If there is no expiry date, better not take the risk.
  2. Always look at the reviews other buyers give after receiving their products. Do they like it? Hate it? If they have negative feedback, its a no for you too :3
  3. Lastly, if you are really interested in trying the product even if there a few negative feedbacks and a few positive ones and you are torn between both, I suggest for you to buy one item first, so you can judge for yourself if you like it or not and if you like it, buy another! (This also applies to other items like clothes and accessories as well)

Hope you learnt something about how to take precautions when online shopping and I hope you will use this knowledge in the future when shopping online to prevent any bad experiences from happening to you! I will post part 2 soon so wait for it patiently ~ :)

Running Man Ep 132

Credits: KSHOWNOW (Awesome subbing site)

Boy, was this episode interesting! I'm really liking the new ideas the PD and crew are coming up with nowadays :D For starters, let me give you guys a brief description of this episode.

Teams
The Running Man team is joined by three guests, Kim HyunA [4 Minute], Hwang Jung Min and Park Sung Woong, and they are split into two teams: The Singers Team and Actors Team. Surprisingly enough, there is a plot twist: There are double spies! Ji Hyo is the spy for the Singers Team, while Gary is the spy for the Actors Team (ahhh Monday couple xD)

Missions
There were 3 missions, basically the finding-the-members-in-order mission, card mission and the suitcase mission.

  • Finding-the-members-in-order mission
I felt that this mission's highlight was Hyuna's aegyo when trying to beg Kwangsoo not to leave her. The puppy eyes and the "oppa don't go" made Kwangsoo so reluctant to leave xD

Ahh... aegyo FTW... it bought her and her group some time and they managed to win this mission in the end. :D

  • Card mission

This mission was so cool! Can totally imagine myself playing this game with my friends one day. The two groups played against each other and they had to guess who in the opposite team had the jajangmyun card. Hyuna managed to guess correctly that it was Ji Hyo (omg a woman's  intuition is so scary) and kept insisting that it was her, but the rest of the members didn't listen. Thank goodness they did in the end though, and they won :D Spy Ji Hyo was so smart too, subtly nodding and shaking her head when Jong Kook said each member's name. ACE!

  • Suitcase mission
The winner was so unexpected! Kwangsoo was able to use his wits to beat both Jong Kook and Suk Jin in the end although it was a unfavourable situation for him as it was 2 vs 1, but he was able to think fast enough and won in the end! Kwangsoo, you deserved it! Getting smarter nowadays, huh? Really missed seeing him winning... :D I definitely recommend all of you to watch this episode!

Milkis Review

Hi again! :D

This is my second post for today and I'm reviewing this new drink called Milkis (btw, I'm not paid for this).

This drink is so cool! I ordered it online via Gmarket/ Qoo10 cause I was so interested to try it after seeing it having good reviews from other people.

Milkis (Hangul:밀키스) is a soft drink produced by Lotte Chilsung, a Korean beverage company. It combines many of the common elements of traditional carbonated beverages such as corn syrup, sugar, and carbonated water with milk to create a creamy taste; its label proclaims "New feeling of soda beverage". Milkis is available in orange, strawberry, mango, melon, banana, and classic (regular) flavors. It is a popular beverage in South Korea, and it remains widely available worldwide.

Milkis launched in 1989 with a huge marketing campaign, notably with the appearance of Hong Kong movie star Chow Yun-fat in its TV commercials.Chow was enjoying huge popularity from the success of the movie A Better Tomorrow and his saying the catchphrase "Saranghaeyo, Milkis!" (사랑해요, 밀키스! I love you, Milkis!) in his strong accent became a huge hit; sales soared and the catchphrase remains as one of the most popular.

I really didn't know what to expect when drinking it, but when I took a sip, it strangely reminded me of a drink from Yoshinoya that was blue(?) and fizzy and the white pearls that burst open when you bit into them tasted exactly like this! Anyone with me? No? No? Fine.
Credits:  Yoshinoya
I went and did some research and found out that the white pearls were called yoghurt pops :D Now I remember! They tasted exactly like Milkis! Milkis tastes like Milk and Yoghurt so it all makes sense now :D Milkis is fizzy too so that is so cool! Just like drinking fizzy yoghurt-y milk... so refreshing! It can be found in Korean supermarkets in Singapore, so I suggest that you guys try it! Definitely worth a try for such a revolutionary drink!
Cheers! ~

First Post ♥

Hi there! :D

If you're just blog hopping, I suggest you turn away because this blog will probably not be the one for you. I'll be discussing about Kpop here, as well as my own opinion about some issues, so I suggest that you all take these posts with a pinch of salt and pepper~

First of all to the people who actually know me, howdy mate! xD Nice seeing you here, and feel free to leave a comment! Well, I guess you guys will know me more through this blog :)

Secondly, let me just briefly talk about one of the things I like (Korean-wise):

  • Running Man

Credit: www.fanpop.com

Oh my gosh this show is so amazing :D So hilarious and mind-blowing at the same time. I'll probably blog about each episode once it comes out, so wait for it! Just to let you guys know, I'm an avid running man fan and I've watched every single episode already. Wheee~ The characters are so different in so many special ways! Although (I believe) the show is not that scripted, the characters have their own personalities which they stick to, and that makes the show so much more interesting!

Credit: www.allkpop.com

Poor Kwangsoo
For example, Kwangsoo (aka Giraffe) always has this "betrayer" image, where he usually promises his members one thing, but immediately does another later. He is also the one getting bullied the most cause he the maknae (youngest) in the group. "Lee Kwangsoo OUT!" *cue Saint Agnes and the Burning Train*

THIS IS SPARTA!
Jongkook has this "SPARTA" caption that always appears whenever he goes into this rage mode and it makes the show so much more funny especially with all the death glares he gives. He is also the most buff out of all of them, which gives him a definite advantage of course :D

Grasshopper! :D
Jaesuk (aka Grasshopper) is the second oldest, yet he is still very fit and runs surprisingly fast. I bet if I were in his shoes, I would have already given up against Mr.SPARTA *cue Sparta scream* I liked him the best during the water gun episode, where he had to take out all of the members on his own. THAT. WAS. SO. AWESOME. 'nuff said.

Gary and his lolols
Next is Gary (aka Peaceful Gary, Monday Boyfriend) really missed him being a Monday couple with Ji Hyo. :( awww... but he is surprisingly an ace during a few episodes like the Christmas special when he had probably the most obvious skill of lolols (LOL) xD

Pororo Haha ~
Haha... (Yes that is a name xD) Also another betrayer within the group. One of my least favourite members though. (Note: I am talking about their on-screen characters that I dislike, not their real personalities) I really didn't like him during the Kimchi episode where he was treating the female guest badly... I know he is married and stuff, but... she is still a lady right? Meh..

LOL xD
Suk Jin (Big-nosed hyung) is one of the first members to be "out", as well as the oldest. I pity him though, being the "Race Starter" and the first one going to jail most of the time. Although I congratulate him on recently ripping off Jong Kook's name tag! :D But still... *cue Saint Agnes and the Burning Train*

Pretty Ji Hyo :D

Lastly, JI HYO! My favourite member of all. The ACE, smartest of them all, as well as the only girl member in Running Man. She is the wittiest and always thinks of out-of-the-box solutions like during the 王 episode where they had to vote for the king and she kept this last voting ticket for herself for the end and she ultimately became king and ripped off Jaesuk's name tag. SHE IS THE ACE. SHE IS AMAZING. 'nuff said as well.

Well, that's it for today. Hope I have sparked your interest in watching Running Man! Watch out for upcoming blog posts as well! I will also be constantly reviewing upcoming RM episodes, so watch out for them too! :D Have a nice 2013! Bye! ~
